Team fundraising for Hospitality Action

Raising money for Hospitality Action

Behind their smiles and slick service hospitality workers can fall upon hard times just like anybody else. Ours is a stressful industry, with long hours, high pressure environments and physically demanding work. We are here to offer financial, physical and psychological support to those who need it.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Monday 7th April Dan Mills, Emma Frayling, Helen Applin and Max Rawlinson from the Visit West Team are participating in the Bath Restaurant Week Charity Waiters' Race in aid of Hospitality Action.

Hospitality Action offers support to people working (as the name suggests) in the hospitality sector, from chefs to concierges. Since 2020, the charity says they've picked up 30,000 calls to their helpline and delivered 8,775 counselling sessions to people in the sector.

The 'waiters' race' will take place on the Royal Crescent and will involve 32 teams of waiters racing in relays (no running allowed!) around the famous Royal Crescent holding trays full of glasses of water. Winners will be judged on both their speed and their technique.

We would love to raise a minimum of £100 for this fantastic charity that supports people working within our hospitality industry.

Thank you in advance for any donations big or small that you are able to provide. Please do also feel free to pop by on the day to cheer us on!

Dan, Emma, Helen and Max.
