On 23rd September 2023 a team of staff from ward 9, Macclesfield hospital, will hike 14 miles across Cheshire's 3 Peaks (Teggs Nose, Shutlingsloe and Shining Tor) to raise funds for activities on the ward.

The ward has recently undergone a refurbishment to create a more dementia friendly environment, to enhance patient wellbeing, reduce distress and anxiety potentially caused by a stay in hospital and promote independence.

As part of ongoing improvements a new role of activities coordinator has been introduced, to support activities on the ward going forward we are looking to raise funds to buy equipment that our patients with dementia can use and enjoy for years to come.
