Watership Down Trail

Raising money for Whitchurch Silk Mill Trust

Whitchurch Silk Mill is a working museum, the last example in Britain of a silk mill that is still weaving silk using historic machinery, and in its original building, a Grade Two* listed Georgian watermill on the banks of the River Test in Hampshire.

Story

We're walking the 24 mile Watership Down Trail in aid of Whitchurch Silk Mill. The trail starts and ends in our beloved home town of Whitchurch, Hants. We'll be taking in the delights of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding National Beauty which we're lucky to have on our doorstep.

We are fundraising for another local gem, Whitchurch Silk Mill. This historic site and museum needs our help this year while it continues to welcome back visitors after a challenging few years for the heritage sector. Unforeseen energy bills during the last financial year has left the mill slightly more vulnerable than we'd like.

We're sure to have some fun, but it'd be made all the sweeter with your sponsorship. We thank you in advance for your support.
