Story
With an average of five children in every thirty suffering with a mental health problem, social and academic exclusion is becoming an increasing issue in the UK today.
Believing in the innate potential and good in every young person, regardless of life experience or background, Jamie’s Farm (in partnership with schools across the UK) aims to spread their evidence-based, therapeutic approach in order to enable systemic change, while cultivating lasting positive change for children.
Hosting residential and non-residential programs across their seven sites, combining ‘Farming, Family and Therapy’, Jamie’s Farm promotes a strong culture of empathy and connection, offering a technology-free, calming space for individuals to reflect, visualise their potential, find their sense of purpose, and ultimately thrive.
Through influencing the way the education system works, training teachers and other professionals to engage more effectively with disadvantaged young people, as well as informing and supporting parents and society at large, Jamie’s Farm has supported over 16,000 young people so far, with 70% having reported significant improved mental wellbeing.
At Westonbirt School, we feel passionately about this cause, and are keen to do our bit to support Jamie’s Farm! Our team of dedicated runners is training hard, and will be so grateful for any donations - every penny counts!
Thank you!
