Event: The Mendip Challenge, on 12 June 2022
Tackle one of North Somersets greatest physical challenges for Weston Hospicecare; The Mendip Challenge is BACK! On Sunday 12 June 2022, hundreds of you will hit the Mendip Hills spread over four distanced walks.

Story

We are a group of Weston District Nurses joining together to complete the Weston Hospice Care 20 mile Mendip challenge.

We work closely with Weston Hospice to provide end of life care for our patients and their families within the community. This would not be possible without the support and knowledge they provide us caring for patients battling cancer or other life limiting illnesses.

Weston Hospice provide a large amount of services to not only patients but their families across the whole of North Somerset free of charge. These services are vital in ensuring patients die comfortably with dignity and respect whilst supporting families to deal with the whole process.

To do this Weston Hospice rely on donations and fundraising events in order to be able to provide these services. Therefore a bunch of us crazy nurses have decided in order to give back we have decided to complete the challenge of walking 20 miles across the Mendips.

We would really appreciate any sponsorship possible for such a worthy cause to not only get us through this difficult challenge but to help us reach our goal in order to raise vital funds for a truly worthy charity.

All our thanks from
Suse, Sophie, Kat and Abi.
