Will and Mieke are Running the LDN Marathon 2023 for the British Heart Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust.
Will is raising money for the British Heart Foundation and would be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help him hit his target
Mieke is running for Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity close to her heart. In 2019 her close friend was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer at 23. She had a four year old son and wasnt quite sure what her future held. But, Teenage Cancer trust made her journey to recovery one full of hope!
Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. We’re the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need – so no young person faces cancer alone.
