1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in their life. UK police receive a domestic abuse call every 30 seconds, and the rates of domestic abuse have only increased with the rise in living costs. On any given day, Refuge supports thousands of women and their children, helping them to overcome the physical, emotional, financial and logistical impacts of abuse. Refuge sets these women and children up with a safe place and provides essentials for them to start their new life.

In June, Jareth and I will be walking 60 miles each to raise money for Refuge UK. This is a charity dear to our hearts, as we have witnessed the effects of domestic abuse in our own environment, and want to make sure women and children have a safe place to go to heal and rebuild their life.

As little as £15 provides women and children fleeing domestic abuse with the things they need for their first night. Walking these 60 miles feels like an easy thing to do to help. Will you help us?
