Story
Hopefield Animal Sanctuary was founded in 1983 with a mission to provide a safe and loving home for abused, abandoned, and neglected animals. Today, it serves as a haven for over 600 animals, including horses, farm animals, reptiles, and exotic species.
The sanctuary offers:
🐴 Lifelong care with food, medical treatment, and a secure environment
🏡 Public access, with visitor fees directly supporting animal care
📚 Educational programs promoting animal welfare and compassion
Located in Brentwood, Essex, Hopefield is just a 30-40 minute train ride from London, making it an accessible day trip. The sanctuary is a short walk from Brentwood High Street and well-connected by public transport.
Visitors can explore 53 acres of beautiful Essex countryside while meeting the animals and hearing their stories. The sanctuary features family-friendly events, ethical animal experiences, school trips, birthday parties, a plant-based café, and a children's play area—all while educating visitors about compassionate animal treatment and generating funds for their rescue work.
World Zombie Day London is fundraising for Hopefield to support their ongoing rescue and care of vulnerable animals with nowhere else to turn. Donations provide essential food, veterinary care, and safe shelter for these animals.
💖 By supporting Hopefield, you help ensure this sanctuary remains a place of refuge, compassion, and education for both animals and the community.
