Some yoga teachers in Dumfries & Galloway are joining together to share yoga practices, Kirtan and a delicious veggie / vegan lunch on 20th Sept 2026 at Lincluden Community Centre.

The teachers , Jill Dobbie , Moira Forsyth, Jackie le Brocq and Alyson Tyler are offering their time and covering all costs of room hire , food etc. So every penny raised goes to The Red Cross Nepal Floods Appeal.

Many in the yoga community have spent time in Nepal and know the warmth and kindness of the people there. We want to do something to help.

Hundreds of people including children are missing, many are dead and communities have been devastated after sudden flash floods struck Nepal's Rasuwa district, as well as parts of Tibet.

Families have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods in a matter of hours. Many people have been forced from their homes and are facing an uncertain future as search and rescue efforts continue. With communications disrupted, the full scale of the disaster is still emerging and the number of people affected is expected to rise.

The best and quickest way to help support those affected by the Nepal floods and other emergencies around the world, is to donate to our Disaster Fund today. We are already supporting the response to the devastating flash floods in Nepal via the Disaster Fund and working with the Nepal Red Cross Society on the ground to determine what further support is required and how we can help.
