The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £5m we need each year to fund our free care.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online for our marathon challenge.

This festive season, Edda & Elise won’t be curled up in front of a log fire, we will be putting on our running shoes and braving the elements to start our training, for the 2008 Flora London Marathon on Sunday 13 April. However, we have the added motivation that every step is one closer to the £10,000 we are aiming to raise for the Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted.

Over the past 12 months, 160 children have lost a loved one who was under the care of the hospice. The money we raise will go towards funding timely, creative and skilled support for children facing the death of someone special to them. This may be specialised pre or post bereavement therapy or ensuring that there are toys and equipment available to keep the children occupied as the family spend  precious time together at the Hospice.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hospice Of St Francis (Berkhamsted) Ltd will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
