Team Butters are taking on Tough Mudder again!

We are completing Tough Mudder to raise money for CLIC Sargent a charity which helped the family of Matthew Pinnock throughout his battle with a terminal brain tumour.

Matthew / Butters was diagnosed with a brain tumour on 12th January 2012 and underwent multiple operations to fight the ‘little bugger’. In February 2012 Matthew was only given 48 hours to live, but miraculously, he fought for a further 10 months before succumbing to this terrible disease on 14th December 2012.

CLIC Sargent have supported Matthews family from day one and continue to keep in contact. The work they do, in this difficult situation, is brilliant and when asking Carolyn (Matthews Mother) what charity we should raise money for? Carolyn chose CLIC  Sargent in a heartbeat, describing their work as fantastic.

We hope to rally up some new recruits to join Team Butters and help us raise more money and tackle Tough Mudder on 4th May 2013! The 12 mile assault course involves obstacles such as crawling through stinging nettles, tackling greased up monkey bars, running through fire, bounding over hay bails, climbing 12ft Berlin walls, jumping into ice cold water and enduring 10,000 volt electrocution wires at the finish line.

So please be generous and give what you can for a great cause.  Any support on the day of the event will be much appreciated too.
