Story

So...the plan is to drive from the UK to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in a completely unsuitable car on some of the most challenging 'roads' in the world...it's somewhere around 8000 miles (although we're not really sure)...oh and we've got 4 weeks...

One driver, one map reader...a combined zero knowledge of mechanics...let the adventure begin! See http://mongolrally.theadventurists.com/ for an idea of what we are letting ourselves in for.

Now then, we shall be donating the car to charity but we need your help to make this awesome adventure even more worthwhile by raising £1000 for Mercy Corps. Their mission is to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities. They run projects in many different countires but the money we raise from taking part in The Mongol Rally 2010 will directly benefit rural communities and vulnarable people in Mongolia. More information see http://www.mercycorps.org/mongolrally.

Every donation will help; for example £10 will pay for one person to attend training to learn a new trade, £60 will provide text books for pupils in 5 rural schools and £320 will buy tools to help poor families generate an income for their family.
