On 1st November we are taking on this tough challenge of climbing the 3 highest peaks in Wales, England & Scotland in 24 hrs to raise money for a life saving treatment for little Millie-Rose Heaton from Skelmerdale who was diagnosed with stage 1V Neurblastoma at just 20 months old and is currently being treated at Alder Hey Hospital.

Since being diagnosed 7 months ago she has had 8 rounds of Chemo,4 rounds of TVD & 10 hrs of surgery

Millie’s chance of survival could be as low as 5%. That’s because even after successful treatment, four out of five children will relapse and there will be nothing more that doctors can do. If this happens, Millie’s parents know her only hope lies abroad where pioneering treatment in a select few US and European hospitals is saving children’s lives.  Facing a frightening and uncertain future, Millie Rose’s parents are determined to raise money for Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Alliance UK so that they can take Millie Rose abroad if they need to.

The NCCA UK is a charity that helps children access clinical treatment that is only available abroad, whilst also supporting research to bring new treatments to the UK.

“Millie is in serious trouble”, says her mother Lyndsay. “This cancer is very hard to treat – we have to know she will get the treatment she needs, when and if the time comes and that’s why we’re fundraising with the NCCA UK.”
