Morrisons Great Manchester Run 2015 · 10 May 2015 ·
This year we have decided to put together a team of staff and volunteers to take part in the Manchester 10K run in May to raise much needed funds for Henshaws.
Did you know? There are almost two million people in the UK living with sight loss. Nearly half of blind and partially sighted people feel ‘moderately’ or ‘completely’ cut off from people and things around them.
There are 11 million disabled people in the UK. That’s nearly 1 in 5 adults who have serious difficulties getting around, experience long-lasting pain, or who struggle to communicate unaided.
At Henshaws we believe that living with sight loss or a disability
shouldn’t mean that you have less right to an independent, happy and fulfilling
life and future. We provide support, training, workshops and social groups to
blind, visually impaired and disabled people of all ages throughout the North
of England. As staff and volunteers we see first-hand how our support can
change people’s lives and help empower them to reach their full potential.

Please support us by digging deep and donating anything you can to allow us to continue to offer our life changing services to support more people affected by
blindness and other disabilities.
Also feel free to come down on the day to watch us run/walk/hobble the route and cheer us on, you won't be able to miss us as we will all be donning our bright orange Henshaws t-shirts!
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
