Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We are 17 brave (or perhaps slightly mad) volunteers who have all agreed to be part of this challenge:
24 peaks in 24 hours :: June 2013
Please give generously to all three charities if you can or, if you prefer one of the charities over the others, then that's fine too. We are really grateful for anything you can give!
We are raising money in memory of Louise Finch (Winstons Wish), Harrison Moore (Great Ormond Street), Terry Ford (Cancer Research UK) and for all other families touched by the fight against cancer and/or the loss of a loved one taken from them too soon.
The challenge

The story behind this challenge
In September 2012, Louise Finch passed away at home with her loving family around her. Such a beautiful fun loving lady taken from us all way too soon. Missed so much by so many. So much of Lou lives on in my beautiful niece, Lily, and for that we are all grateful.
Louise's family selected a great charity called Winstons Wish, who provide much needed support to bereaved children.
My brother has risen to the challenge of being a single parent and I am sure Louise would be immensely proud.
Rich and I wanted to do something to raise money in Louise's memory, for the charity her family selected, by doing something extremely challenging.
Shortly after Louise's death, our Uncle Terry died, also taken from us too soon by cancer. Terry lived a good and full life but will be greatly missed by his wife, Janet, and his brother, our Dad, Maurice, and of course his two children, Chris and Nazreen and his grandson, Callum.
We wanted to raise money to help the fight against cancer and Cancer Research UK seemed the logical choice.
Sadly, shortly after Terry's death, our step-nephew, Harrison, passed away at 8 months old, following a long battle with multiple conditions. Harry fought hard and his parents, Liz and Lee, remain incredibly grateful to Great Ormond Street for their incredible support. Such wonderful work takes place there every day and we wanted to raise some money to help this continue.
We decided that, whatever the challenge, it should be hard, demanding, long and gruelling. That's why we chose 24 peaks in 24 hours.
We then asked friends and family whether they would like to take part and the response has been both touching and overwhelming, with 17 blokes now signed up!
Thanks again to all of you. Together I really hope we can raise some serious money to help these three chartities carry on their excellent work.
Thanks, please give generously,
