Having had dreadlocks for 5 years, I have found a lot of people are intrigued by them. Nearly all of these people ask the same question: "What happens if you decide you don't want them anymore?" The quick answer is: Shave them off. This is where this page comes in...
I have decided to put the fate of my dreadlocks in your hands and let you decide whether I keep my dreadlocks or shave them off.
There are two teams linked to this page, one called Keep the Dreads and one called Shave the Dreads. If you would like me to keep my dreadlocks for atleast another year, all you need to do is select the Keep the Dreads page and donate you're chosen amount. If you would like me to shave off my dreadlocks in February, select the Shave the Dreads page and, similarly, donate you're chosen amount. All donations are going towards Cancer Research UK.
The page which receives the most donations by February 15th will be the action that will go ahead.
I am also collecting in person at the school I work at, I will post updates on the money raised to each page as and when I can. If you would prefer to make a donation in person, please let me know.
Many thanks for all your support and kindness.
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
Big thanks to Ollie Lewis for editting the half shaven picture of me.
