As you may know Philippa suffers from Cystic Fibrosis (CF). In May 2010 she was told she needed a double lung transplant as CF was serverly damaging her lungs. Since being told her health declined rapidly but she managed to stablize enough to stay alive whilst she waited for a transplant.
After five long months on the waiting list and four false calls, on 5/5/2011 she was lucky enough to receive the gift of life; a double lung transplant. Because of a stranger she is still here today and has a second chance to live. Because of their generosity she feels absolutely fantastic, the best she's ever felt. She also feels so lucky to be alive! And will always be enternally grateful to her donor and their wonderful family.
