We've joined together to raise money for Nepal. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.
We are aiming to climb the height of Mount Everest (8848m) by climbing our local hill Dumyat (418m) 22 times throughout the month of May. In doing so we hope to raise funds to help the people of Nepal to recover from the recent devastating earthquake.
On Saturday 25 April a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal. It severely shook the lives of at least 8m people and left many homeless. Nepal’s major cities, including the capital Kathmandu, have been badly damaged and rural areas near the epicentre have been completely cut off by avalanches.
Already over 5000 people have been confirmed dead and the figure is likely to rise significantly in the coming days. Even those whose homes are still standing are sleeping in the streets because they are terrified by regular aftershocks.
In October 2014 we were incredibly privileged to experience first-hand the generosity, kindness and amazing spirit of the Nepalese people during our journey to Everest Base Camp. We hope that through our challenge we can provide a small help to a country very close to our hearts.
Thank you for supporting us.
