Nepali Mountaineer and adventurer, Vishu Sijali, is attempting to summit Mt Everest in April to raise desperately needed funds for Nepal’s Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre to continue its life-changing work with poor and marginalised Nepalis living with leprosy and disability.
But he’s not doing it alone. A team of international staff from the hospital’s non-government-organisation will also be competing in the Himalayan Rush Triathlon at the same time for the same cause.
About Green Pastures
Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre was established in 1957 by the International Nepal Fellowship, Nepal’s longest-serving international non-government organisation. Green Pastures specialises in the treatment and rehabilitation of poor and marginalised Nepalis living with leprosy, disability or cerebral palsy.
The hospital seeks to improve the quality of life for people with leprosy and disabilities through treatment, empowerment and social inclusion. They believe people with leprosy and disability can play an active role in their families and the wider community, and they work to make this a reality.
