In August 2019, HER Planet Earth and Just Challenge join forces to deliver a truly unique opportunity to join 12 like-minded women on an eight-day challenge in Iceland, to drive female empowerment and deliver a global movement that empowers and educates underprivileged women - all whilst raising funds for charity.

HER Planet Earth and Just Challenge are committed to creating a world where environmental integrity and women empowerment can prosper.
Challenge Iceland 2019 will raise funds and awareness for UN Women UK - a foundation dedicated to empowering women globally by removing the barriers that prevent women and girls from achieving their potential.
Each participant will be tasked with raising funds for UN Women UK. All funds raised will go towards projects that help underprivileged women affected by climate change - supporting the belief that women have the right and the need to be at the forefront of efforts to deal with climate change.
What’s the Issue and Why Does it Matter?
In the past decade, disasters have led to the loss of 700 thousand lives, 1.7 billion people affected and economic losses of USD 1.4 trillion. These effects disproportionately affect women and girls: multiple discriminations mean that women are more vulnerable in crises and post disasters situations. In view of this, the team will partner with non-profit organisation, UN Women UK, and raise (USD$50,000) for projects focused on the economic empowerment of women in rural areas of Asia, notably in Nepal, Bangladesh and Vietnam, ultimately helping them build climate change resilience.
