19 June 2012: Pedal Power Produces Plenty of Pounds
On a glorious mid-summers day we successfully completed the 54 mile London to Brighton bike ride. We toughed out the day scaling the formidable Ditchling Beacon (270m) and recovering from both flat tires and falls.
The first 'NLPedlers' crossed the line at 4:10pm, just over 6.5 hours after setting off. The day was topped off with a well deserved post-race fish and chips and a round of drinks. Despite being slightly bruised and severely sunburnt we've managed to surpass our fundraising target raising over £2,000 for charity partners UCL Cancer Trust and Werewolves of London.
Thanks for all the support!
