Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.

Our charity ambassador and supporter Mark Lewis Jones is helping to raise funds and awareness for Marie Curie, Bloodwise and Believe charities.

Here are some words from Mark ahead of his Ironman Wales challenge on Sunday.

"Well, the big day is almost here and I want to thank everyone who has supported me so far in my training journey, from representatives of the charities to those who have helped with my kit and everyone who has donated so far.

"I’ve been training all through spring and summer, including taking part in a number of events to prepare me for Sunday’s Ironman Wales in Tenby.

"In April, I took part in the Newport Wales Marathon in aid of Marie Curie Wales, coming in with a time of 3:33 which I was very pleased about.  I’ve been a Pay for a Day Ambassador for the charity for two years and have visited the Penarth Hospice on a number of occasions to see the fantastic work done by the team there in caring for people with a terminal illness, and their families.

"I also took to the streets of Newport again in July for the Velothon Wales, riding a bike which once belonged to Stuey Bates in his memory.  Stuey and his son Fraser were the reason for Anna setting up her charity, Believe, to raise awareness of organ donation. I completed the challenge in 5:55:41.

"I followed that up with the London Triathlon in early August – a hot day, but I made it through. This time, I was taking part in aid of Bloodwise, another charity I’ve been lucky enough to support since 2005 and which is dedicated to funding research into all blood cancers.

"I’ve also been riding and swimming all over Wales, and have also continued my training while away filming in Lithuania.

"I’m looking forward to Sunday, and being able to represent all three charities which do vital work for people in our communities.   I will also be swimming, running and riding in memory of Stuey and Fraser Bates and Paul Garrett, all of whom died in car accidents and are deeply missed.
