As usual, this isn't our story, it's someone else's; Chris'.
Chris was a keen supporter of Kettering Rugby Football Club, we he was lovingly known as Chris 'Cuddles' Mason.
After discovering archery Chris became a major part of the archery community within Northamptonshire and the surrounding area. As well as running shoots and helping others whenever they needed advise or support, he worked incredibly hard for all of us as the County Chairman.
Besides being our friend, he was a devoted partner to Angie, a wonderful Father to Jamie and Steph, as well as being a fantastic brother to Carol. He leaves a huge hole in our lives that will be hard to fill, and he will always be missed.
To remember Chris and help raise much needed funds for Cancer Research UK, we are holding an endurance archery event on the rugby pitch at Daventry and District Sports Club. We will be shooting from 6am all the way through until 9pm (regardless of the weather); please support us.
Although the shoot is an endurance event, we will be running Windsor rounds to make things interesting, and hopefully set a new county record during the course of the day. There will also be other distances to suit all levels of ability and experience.
You don't need to have known Chris to donate. You just need to feel that this is a worthy cause; please help us to beat cancer - maybe one of your pounds will be the ONE that is needed to rid the world of this terrible disease for good?
