On the 28th September 2013 Rhys lost his fight against Lupus (SLE). Aged just 36 years old Rhys had fought heart and kidney problems as a result of his Lupus. Rhys never complained about his illness and he always found time to help and support others.

A group of his closest friends are riding from Snowdonia in North Wales on 22nd November to New Inn in South East Wales finishing on 24th November. We are doing this to remember Rhys but also to raise awareness of Lupus and to raise vital funds for two Charities, The Hibbs Lupus Trust and LUPUS UK.
