Gift of Sight raises funds to support world-class research into blinding eye diseases. Our scientists work tirelessly in the laboratories and with patients in clinic to establish the causes of disease and to work towards new therapies and treatments. Eye conditions such as age related macular degeneration, glaucoma, corneal diseases and childhood causes of blindness add up to a huge burden of problems for both clinicians, nursing teams and patients. Many current treatments are invasive and require repeat visits to hospitals and this trend will continue until new projects such as adult stem cell and gene therapy treatments are available. Please help us to try to achieve this.
