We are attempting to complete the Devises to Westminster this easter for charity. Often dubbed the "kayakers Everest" the Devises to wesminster is a 125 mile race from Devises in wiltshire to Westminster in central London ,allong the Kennet and Avon Cannal, and then down the River Thames.
Magnus and Dom have fromed a strong partnership over recent weeks. After their original Partners both contracted Glandular Fever. After a brief downfall they where back on the water training 3 times a week. If you asked us why we had volunteered to attempt the Devises to Westminster, you would have quickly established that we where not completely aware of the full scale of the challange when we volunteered early last term.
Enduring long training sessions, in darkness, freezing conditions, torrential rain, or ocationally snow, they have spent the last few months preparing for the big day. They have broken through ice, or ran when the cannal has been unnavigatable, as well as survive overnight camping in freezing conditions in order to attempt this "kayakers Everest".
