So us two crazy ladies are running our first marathon!
Alison: "I've been pondering about running a marathon for some time, but holding back from committing to doing it"
Flora: "Well, I always said I'd never run a marathon!"
Alison: "Then recently news from a friend reminded me that life is precious and unpredictable, that sometimes you have to seize the day and make the most of doing things while you are well and healthy"
Flora: "Yes, I totally agree. I have a dear friend who has MS, so I'm running for the MS Society, as they do lots of research into this still not fully understood condition"
Alison: "And I'm running for MIND in memory of my brother-in-law, Roger, who died 12 years ago. I care deeply about mental health and MIND do great work to raise awareness, provide support and educate to reduce stigma"
