Thankyou for visting our page.
On the 1st March 2020, 4 brave (crazy) Cisco Co-Workers will embark on the week-long Arctic Survival Challenge to raise money for Charity. In an age where people continue to push themselves beyond their limits, we felt inspired to do the same and venture into the unknown.
To set the seen, temperatures are expected to be below -30c, a maximum of 5 hours light per day, no electricity/WIFI/running water or any of our other usual comforts. This is going to push us both physically and mentally to our limits. The unique set of challenges set over the week will culminate in us spending the final 3 nights in hand dug snow holes. the day and night watches we'll have to share to keep and eye out for bears and wolves.
The aim is to raise £10,000 for The Royal British Legion who without your support couldn't continue their vital work supporting the Armed Forces Community. As an organisation they provide lifelong support to Serving men and women, veterans and their families. They tackle the challenges of mental and physical wellbeing, from PTSD, Depression to Dedicated Care Homes for Veterans and Family Wellbeing.
The donation you make will continue to make the support they offer available to those who sacrifice so much so that we may enjoy the freedom we so often take for granted.
- £15 will help towards an online training course to develop skills for a new job
- £35 will help adapt the home of a service person injured in conflict
- £60 will help with food and accommodation for homeless ex-serving personnel
We thank you for your generous donation and promise to keep you posted on how the preparation and the challenge itself unfolds!
