Cycle against Torture Team 2019

Team photo

Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page for Freedom from Torture. You can set up a Team Member page as Shelagh, Rishi, Simon and the Edinburgh FfT group have - go on, it only takes a minute and then your friends and supporters will be able to sponsor you directly! You can be a team member even if you are not planning to ride any of the stages - there are local events happening as the ride passes through.

Between us we will ride from Hastings to Edinburgh with the objectives of 1) raising awareness of the work of Freedom from Torture, 2) connecting local support groups and 3) raising much-needed funds for this work. We will cycle between 30 and 60 miles a day with rest days and activity/awareness-raising days at several major points. Local support groups across the UK are planning small (or large) events to coincide with the cyclists' visit. All info is on and updated regularly.

We want it to be an inclusive event so there is an optional joining/leaving point in each riding stage.

Our aim is to strengthen support across the UK for the amazing work of Freedom from Torture. Your support will help us with that aim. is where you'll find all the project information. Contact for anything else.

Freedom from Torture is the only UK-based human rights organisation dedicated to the treatment and rehabilitation of torture survivors.
