Dobbies Garden Centres is 150years old this year and wants YOU to be part of our celebrations!
To mark this amazing milestone, hundreds of our staff have volunteered to take part in Dobbies’ Cycle Tour Around the UK to raise money for a charity that is close to their hearts. The Tour comprises each of our 35 stores and totals a whopping 2,000 miles!
Starting and finishing at our flagship store Dobbies Edinburgh (Melville) it will take 21 days for staff to complete.
Each store has selected their own charity to support, and Dobbies Head Office has chosen The Wildlife Trusts.
The Wildlife Trusts is made up of 47 local trusts, covering the whole of the UK, the Isle of Man and Alderney and has over 800,000 members. The Wildlife Trusts manage around 2,300 nature reserves and run marine conservations projects around the coast. They help co-ordinate the Trusts’ activities and campaign for wildlife at a UK level, promoting the conservation and study of nature, and educating the public in understanding and appreciating nature.
The Wildlife Trusts were voted as Dobbies’ 150th anniversary charity partner, and were chosen because they celebrate Dobbies’ values – getting people outside and enjoying their gardens, educating children about nature in fun and exciting ways and encouraging families to be wildlife-friendly.
Please dig deep and support our Dobbies Head Office raise as much money as possible for The Wildlife Trusts.
