5 friends have decided to try and raise some money for a local charity. The chosen charity is the local Durham based Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. The Rainbow Trust provide emotional and practical support for families with a seriously ill child.
As we all enjoy cycling the plan, to raise the money, is to do a huge 350 mile cycle across 3 countries in 6 days. The route starts by getting the ferry from Newcastle across to Amsterdam. From then on we can only use our bikes in order to get across Belgium and to the port of Calais to catch our ferry home. The catch is that the bikes we are doing this massive ride on are all fixed gear bikes. This means we are using the most basic form of cycling with no gears we will need to climb hills with only man power and as long as our bikes are moving our legs will have to be pumping.
