Thank you for visiting our page. On the 16th of March 2018 Mario, our brother, would have been 40. Mario sadly passed away on 3rd October 2000 following a year long battle with a rare form of kidney cancer - renal cell carcinoma - aged just 22. He is remembered and missed by all of us (his family) to this day.

In order to mark the occasion and give something back to the charity that he supported, we are going to do a family 10k walk/run/shuffle/row and beer drink (Louis) together across the world, with people taking part in the UK, Ireland and Australia on the 16th March 2018.

Mario had a very rare gene defect, SDHB which results in a greatly increased risk of cancers of the endocrine system. The odds of having this are about the same as winning the lottery. The chances of all 7 of us (Mario and his 6 siblings) having it would be the lottery several times over! In our family there are now 16 of us with the defect, including all of Mario's brothers and sisters and many of his nieces and nephews. Fortunately, since we lost Mario in 2000, medicine has progressed and with regular monitoring and treatment we are all ok for now!

So please give generously to help us and others!
