On the 24th May 2018, 34 of the McCain Commercial Team will be taking on the challenge of walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in aid of raising money for the charity ‘Mind’.
The Yorkshire 3 peaks is a significant endurance challenge, which takes on climbing 3 of the highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales; Whernside, Ingleborough & Pen-y-ghent. The walk will be 25 miles long with an elevation gain of over 5000ft and will be a real test of our stamina.
We will be taking on this challenge in order to raise money for the charity ‘Mind’. For over 60 years Mind has worked to improve the lives of people experiencing mental health problems. 1 in 4 people will suffer some kind of mental health problem during their lives, with less than half of those currently suffering getting the support they need. They are reliant on donations to carry out their important work.
Many of us can relate to someone close to us who has experienced a mental health issue and understand how critical it is for people to get the right level of support at the right time and so we are passionate about raising as much money and awareness to this charity as possible. No one should have to suffer alone.
We are all very much in training for this big event and request your support to help us on our quest to raise £5k to support this charity.
