Karen's Story....
I was just 13 years old when my father aged 51 yrs collapsed and died suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart attack. My sister-in-law also died suddenly at the age of 48 yrs from heart disease. I have been diagnosed with hypertension and therefore unless I look after myself I too am at risk of developing heart disease. I am riding 100 miles in my dad and Tina memory and at the same time raising money for the BHF to help them in their amazing life saving research. Thank you for your support.....

I have recently been diagnosed with Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH). This condition causes high cholesterol and can result in having a heart attack..
My 20 yr old cousin died suddenly and unexpectedly from FH, leaving a young daughter and wider grieving family. I have lost both my father and Uncle through heart disease related illnesses. By raising awareness of conditions such as FH, we will identify people who have this condition and instigate preventative medication and thereby prolong life. Please support me and spread the word.
