Since 2001 The Oasis Centre has been helping isolated, vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Gorton, East Manchester. They have an amazing team who make a real difference to so many lives in so many ways, offering help with housing and benefits, work experience and employment skills, basic literacy and numeracy courses, and even emergency food and clothing. Last month they saw nearly a thousand visits from people looking for help – some in utter crisis.

The Centre's work is growing rapidly – as is the need in East Manchester. Gorton is within the top 1% of deprivation in the UK.
Next year, Oasis will open a new Centre on a prominent corner of Hyde Road in order to be more accessible, open more hours and help more people.
As local businesses (Property Hub, Roger Hannah and Chariot Office Supplies), we want to raise as much as possible to contribute to the fit-out of this new Centre, so have put together a team of runners to take part in the Manchester Wiggle Half Marathon on Sunday 13th October.
Please help us to help The Oasis Centre to continue to change lives for the better.
