On 28th August I will be attempting a unsupported 1047 mile run round Wales, covering 870 miles on the Wales coastal path from Chepstow to Chester and 177 miles on the offes Dyke path from Prestatyn to Chepstow starting at the Cardiff Barrage and ending at the same place 35 days later running a average of 30 miles per day carrying all my belongings like tent, sleeping bag, food etc with me on my back.
I will be trying to raise money in association for Royal Marine Spencer Vaughan who inspired me on a past challenge. About 6 years ago Spencer had a freak accident while away on exercise with the Royal marines which has left him with life changing spinal injuries and confined to a wheel chair for the rest of his life . This was all happening while on my previous challenge and whilst on a really hard day of the challenge I managed to speak to Amy (Spencer's sister) I said so sorry to hear about Spencer and Amy replied that Spencer had just donated (a decent amount) to the charity. I remember I was so touched at the time that someone can think of others just after their life has been completely turned around. It also really inspired me that day and turned a bad day into one of the best days running I have had.
I just want to now say thanks to Spencer and hopefully do a little to help the charity's that have been good to Spencer like 'Help the Heroes' and 'Blesma'. I am trying to have equal amounts in both charitys so if you can please donate to the lower amount. Thankyou very much
