We've joined together to raise money for this essential charity by running a Poem-a-thon. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can help us smash this goal.
What is a poem-a-thon?
A relay of speakers and poets reading or reciting poems. Original or favourite poems are welcome, as are those linked to the work of Citizens Advice.
All funds raised will support the work of Citizens Advice North Hertfordshire and their essential work offering free advice to everyone in our community who needs it.

Time: 7pm to 10pm

Open to all levels of experience and none; whatever your age, interest and background we invite you to take up a poetic challenge and seek sponsorship to raise funds for us.
This could include:
• read one or more poems of your choice;
• read one or more poems you've written;
• recite a poem you've learnt by heart;
• share another lyric-based offering.
Speakers will have up to 8 minutes to introduce and speak their poems. Speakers will need to generate sponsorship using JustGiving or a Sponsorship form.
Two free workshops are being run in Letchworth to support event speakers:
• Sat 21st Oct 1-4pm – How to Learn a Poem by Heart
• Sat 4th Nov 1-4pm – How to Speak a Poem with Presence
