We've joined together to raise money for the muscular dystrophy campaigns Duchenne breakthrough fund. This vital fund has been set up to pay for crucial research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy and to ensure that when treatments are ready, the NHS will be too.
Clark is 6 years old and was diagnosed with the condition two years ago. For Clark it means that in just a few years time he will loose the use of his legs and gradully every othe rmuscle in his body. His life expectancy is in his 20s.
Wonderful potential treatments are currently in clinical trial, they could mean that Clark could have significant muscle function throughout his life and even a normal life expectancy.Further research is needed to ensure these treatments can become a reality for boys like Clark. If we are in time all our greatest hopes could come true for Clark.
He is a kind, caring, friendly, funny little boy. He loves super heros and Harry Potter and 'cool animals' like bats and wolves! He never stops talking and enjoys school and drama club.
