Team Sussex first took part in Run to Remember, alongside colleagues from across the UK, in 2013/14 and raised over £4,000 in donations - we hope to beat this record this year.
Tracy Hall, from Sussex Police's HR department, who has helped arranged this year’s team, said: “We successfully participated in Run to Remember a couple of years ago, and those that took part in the challenge all enjoyed the experience.
“This year our committed team of runners include new members and those who were on the team before. Everyone has their reasons for participating; whether it be the personal challenge of running on a regular basis, keeping fit, or the seasoned runner who wants to raise a bit of cash for charity. However we all have the same goal, to raise funds to help those children who have lost close family members through tragic circumstances.
“For me it’s not only the personal challenge of running, but as a parent myself, it’s about ensuring that all children are given the opportunity to be the best they can be and by fundraising for this charity it allows children to learn and develop in order to achieve their potential.”
