We've joined together to raise money for Cancer Research.
Over the last 2 years we have raised over £17,000, and a crucial part of that figure comes from donations from people / Companies like yourselves, which we are incredibly grateful for. We have another Fun Run / Charity Day planned, which will take place on the 10th July 2016 .
We have lost so many local & famous people since last year’s run but in March of this year, Polesworth lost a truly heroic individual, Karen Abbott, at the tender age of 44. Karen was a distinguished police officer, huge supporter of charities such as Simon’s Heroes, and a keen supporter of our very own fun run.
Last year, Karen took part in our event, number 003. In September, Karen was diagnosed with Cancer. Karen fought with amazing courage, spirit and most incredible of all, humour, until finally conceding defeat. With husband Drew’s blessing, this year we will run, walk, drink and laugh to honour Karen, our unique local hero.
