Wee Dee

Team photo

We lost Wee Dee due to a long-standing brain tumour in the Summer.  She was 37.  We miss her every day.

Consequently, her husband Ian and brothers John, Mark and David, along with Sammy, Tubs and Gio will cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats in the Summer of 2012 to celebrate her memory and raise funds for Brain Tumour Action and Epilepsy Scotland.

At the same time we’ll celebrate the success stories, like Sarah, Sammy’s 10 year old niece who is now all-clear from the brain tumour that hit her at the age of 6.

Please support us if you can.  The funding of research for less publicised conditions such as brain tumours is vital to ensure there are more stories that end up like Sarah’s instead of Dee’s. Click on the links below that have been created in support of Brain Tumour Action and Epilepsy Scotland to make a donation.

As for the ride, there are some volatile characters in tow.  It’s going to be emotional. Keep up with our training via the blog at http://hitimes.wordpress.com/

Note: all costs involved in kit, travel & subsistance are being funded by the cycling team with all monies raised going directly to the charities.
