Update, 26th March 2012: We did it! Thanks so much to everyone who competed, cheered us on and donated to the inaugeral Half Marathon Extreme Ironing Challenge. It was a fantastic event and a memorable day. My mum would have been proud of the quality of ironing too! Iron on, Phil Welcome to the donation page for <a title="Team Steam" href="http://teamsteam.org/iron/">Team Steam: extreme ironing for St Michael's Hospice</a>.  On 25th March 2012 a team of extreme ironists will iron around the course of the Hastings Half Marathon. It is the first time that extreme ironing will be carried out on a Half Marathon course using hot irons.  They will stop off at various points of the 13.1 mile course to iron a few garments, pressing the case to support <a href="http://www.stmichaelshospice.org/">St Michael's Hospice</a> which relies on donations to cover 2/3 of its £5 million operating costs.  Team Steam will be running in memory of extreme ironing founder Steam's mother, Brenda Szomszor, who died of cancer in May 2011 while in the care of St Michael's Hospice.  Keep up to date with the team's training regime on the Team Steam website - <a title="Team Steam: extreme ironing for St Michael's Hospice" href="http://teamsteam.org">teamsteam.org</a> Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
