We fund research into childhood cancer to save and improve young lives

Story

In May 2014 my friend Hazel and her family lost their beautiful little boy, Tommy. He was suffering from Acute Myloid Leukaemia and was just 18 months old.  Hazel had taken Tommy to the doctor with what she thought was a normal every day virus. But it soon became apparent that something more was wrong. Just three traumatic weeks later, Tommy was gone. It is the thing that we all dread.. is the thing that we all try not to imagine. But it does happen, and we need to do all we can to make it happen less.

As Hazel so courageously put it when she spoke at Tommy’s funeral, everybody thinks that their children are beautiful, but Tommy really was.  And Tommy was.  Anybody that met him couldn’t help but be charmed by his cheeky grin, and his playful nature.  He was a good boy and was adored by his whole family.

It is Hazel’s hope that Tommy always be remembered by those that knew him and to that end I will periodically be taking to the streets in my running gear to raise some funds in memory of Tommy for Hazel’s chosen charity -  Children with Cancer UK.  Because the only way to stop these stories, is by funding research, and the only way to fund research is to raise money.  Please help me do that if you can.

Thank you.
