World Record Attempt

CASTEAU, Belgium – I will attempt to break a world record by attempting to sit in 39000 seats of the Belgium National Stadium within 48 hours later this year.  This equates to 1 squat every 2 seconds!  This will be some achievement as I has just come out of hospital after surgery for a triple hernia operation. I am raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

On Thursday 28 August at 0900am l took 5hours and 30 minutes to sit in all 9205 seats of  RAEC Mons football stadium!  Including the money raised on this site I will have raised 1260 pounds.  To reach my target of 10000 pounds I will be outside the Mons stadium for the next home game along with members of the supporters club collecting donations.  Hopefully I will be able to collect 1 euro for each seat that I sat on!

Marie Curie Cancer Care is close to my heart as his grandfather died of lung cancer and my mother was diagnosed with cancer at Easter.  Marie Curie Cancer Care gives care to over 15,000 cancer sufferers.  The charity provides specialist homes for the care of cancer patients, provides nursing for patients at home and runs education programmes on the symptoms and treatment of cancer.
