Story
On Sunday 31st of July Team Tesco South are riding the Prudential London 100. The event starts at the Olympic Park in Stratford and follows a 100 mile route on closed roads through the capital then heads into Surrey before finishing back on the Mall.
The team is made up of Jonny, Andy and Rachel and whilst we all fancy ourselves as keen cyclists, and a little bit competitive (especially Andy) we will have to wait and see how we fair against the other 26,000 riders on the day. Our target is to get round in under 6 hours, given our very early start we are hoping to be celebrating with a drink before 1 o'clock!
We are raising money for Anthony Nolan, this charity matches individuals who are willing to donate their blood cells or bone marrow to people with blood cancer and blood disorders.
Anthony Nolan charity has supported our good colleague Steve Manders throughout his treatment and its great to see him recovering well. By doing this ride we are hoping to raise the awareness of the great work the charity do, and on how to become stem cell donors.
If you are aged between 16-30 and interested in being added to the register please see the following link www.anthonynolan.org/8-ways-you-could-save-life/donate-your-stem-cells.
