We honour the memory of the Normandy fallen to never forget their sacrifice.

Story

Everyone involved in the Songs of Praise D-Day 75 episode fel so privileged to meet and spend time with Harry Billinge and his wife. Harry was  just18 when he landed on Gold Beach on 6th June 1944. He has worked tirelessly to commemorate the fallen in Normandy and even now, at 93, goes out 3 or 4 days a week to raise money for a permanent and fitting memorial on the beaches. We thought it would be a nice gesture to raise a little money for this cause as a thank you from the Songs of Praise team.
