We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

The Mongol Rally is quite simply in essence getting a car, under 1 litre if possible (or as beaten up as possible), and driving it from the UK to Mongolia (well, Russia), with some people you don't mind squishing in the car with. There is no route, so technically we will never get lost!! We will be trying to visit as many countries as possible, including Iran, Kazakhstan, and various other ‘stans’, China, and Russia. Our sturdy steed in this adventure comes in the shape of a very faded Vauxhall Corsa named Dorothy! And our intrepid team of ill equipped adventurers include the one and only Alex Matthews, the glamous Charlotte Churnside, and the village idiot Andrew 'Wez' Wells!

We're doing it all in the name of charity; Namely ’Cool Earth” and ‘Cancer Research UK’, in particular in the memory of Nadine Smith and Maggie Stratton. Don’t get me wrong there are easier ways to raise money but when you get that travel bug you will always find an excuse!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
