We say: thanks for stopping by.

The long story short, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer in July 2022 at the age of 41. I had a double mastectomy and immediate reconstruction and when I was ready to start training again I looked for a strength training programme and community of people like myself who were not only affected by cancer but also value the power of strength training.
Unfortunately, there were no active programmes running at the time. With the Battle Cancer Programme, the more funding they have, the more programmes they can run and therefore, there will be more options for people like myself.
As a trainer, I obviously knew how to listen to my body and progress slowly following my own programme, but I wanted to find a community of people like myself and therefore, I see the importance and value of something like the Battle Cancer Programme.
I’ve competed in calisthenics and powerlifting but I’ve never done a challenge like this before so it was only fitting to partner up with one of my closest friends, Tara, who is not only seasoned in these types of competitions but also has a family history of cancer and has seen how exercise greatly contributes to quality of life of those going through cancer.
Thank you for your support!

I believe, with every inch of my body - and mind - that workouts solve all the world's problems. All the people closest to me have/have had cancer, and I guess a lot of people can say the same. It's, therefore, absolutely excellent to have found a merging of important things: workouts with the Battle Cancer comp + promoting, providing and supporting exercise programmes for all affected by cancer via the Battle Cancer charity.
(Must do full disclosure and say that, though Jazzy and I have known each other, trained together and competed against each other for a very long time, this is the first time we are competing together as a team. There will be a lot of giggling and general randomness happening. Come watch us on 15 October at Olympia London.)
From both of us, thank you so much for your support. We look forward to training with you :) Or, at least, seeing you in the gym ;)
