Story
The Trek Isle of Cumbrae (Millport by common incorrect terms) 12 September 2010.
FANCY A GOOD LAUGH........THEN JOIN THE TREK...... ALL WE ASK IS THAT YOU RAISE AT LEAST £50 AND WEAR PINK - This year it should be more of a laugh than normal - Anne Marie is in a wheel chair and I have to push her !!!!!!!
We are off on our annual sponsored Trek around the Isle of Cumbrae on Sunday 12th September 2010. This is a great day out for walkers of all ages and abilities. You make your way to Largs, hop on the ferry and you are on your way! After registering on the island you make your way along the road and soon you will come across the Hospice van where the volunteers will provide you with food and drinks for extra energy! When you reach Millport, you can pop into the Newton Bar for a complimentary bowl of soup then spend some time relaxing at their karaoke. If your singing voice has deserted you, simply make your way back to the ferry - Remember to check yourself off the island and make your way home.
Don’t worry if you get tired, stragglers get a lift back to the ferry! It is a great family fun day out and all that is asked is that all walkers take a sponsor form and raise funds for the Hospice!
