Every two minutes, somebody in the UK is told they have cancer. Every two minutes another person's life is turned upside down.

Please dig deep and sponsor us online - it's quick, easy and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send you any unwanted emails. We’re working really hard to raise as much money as we can for Cancer Research UK, but we’d really appreciate your help.

So far we've held a Krispy Kreme Doughnut sale at school, which raised over £200, and also held a really successful cake sale, all adding to our subtotal, before we start training for our 10K run at the end of June!

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.  By sponsoring us, we can unite and create a force that cancer can't ignore - a cure.

Here's an idea of how far your donations will go:

- £10 buys enough glass slides to examine 500 tumour samples

- £150 helps a Cancer Chat Nurse learn about the latest advances

- £300 buys a thermostat controlled water bath for accurate results
